Again, Aunt Brigid shared this recipe.  This is most definitely my favorite scone recipe! Thank you, thank you!

For these scones, I added chopped strawberries!



  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk


  • Combine dry ingredients, cut in butter, add liquid, knead dough.
  • On greased pan/non-greased stoneware cut into pieces.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees.

    How did they taste with the fresh strawberries? You will have to make them for me when I come to visit.
